Biodiversity & Climate Goals
The protection and management of natural and working lands, including forests, is an essential strategy in meeting the state’s greenhouse gas reduction, climate adaptation, and resilience goals and is now official policy. Recent legislation requires all state agencies, departments, boards and commissions to consider this policy when revising or establishing regulations, expenditures or grant criteria relating to the protection and management of natural and working lands.
