The Task Force has developed a range of ways to tell people about the critical progress being made by our work groups and partner organizations. With each there are ways for you to help us reach not only more, but the right people who will benefit from ongoing knowledge about the work of the Task Force.

Website/Content Portal

WildfireTaskForce.org is a comprehensive and dynamic website that clearly defines the purpose of the Task Force and, importantly, provides ongoing articles and information about specific, on-the-ground progress being made by state, federal, local and tribal governments along with a wide range of other Task Force partners.

Promote the site in your communications with constituents and stakeholders.

Monthly E-newsletter

This email gives a visual, editorial-style overview of Task Force progress and is sent monthly to opt-in subscribers.

  • Subscribe and encourage your constituents and stakeholders to subscribe
  • Use the Forward To A Friend button on the email to include those you think would appreciate the content.

Social Media

Channels have been created for the Task Force on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

  • Follow the Task Force social channels and engage with the content.
  • Share Task Force social content on your social channels and encourage others to follow.
  • When appropriate, include the hashtag: #wildfiretaskforce.

TIPS FOR TALKING ABOUT THE TASK FORCE


  • Progress – The primary goal of Task Force communications is to show measurable on-the-ground progress against the Action Plan. Please try to keep content related to the Task Force specific to progress in your area.
  • Purpose – Particularly at launch, it’s important for people to understand the mission of the Task Force. Please reference the About Page of the website and stay close to this language when referring to the Task Force.
  • The Name – The full name is California Wildfire & Forest Resilience Task Force. The Task Force is an acceptable shortening of the name, but only if the full name has appeared previously in the communications.
