Biodiversity & Climate Committee

The protection and management of natural and working lands, including forests, is an essential strategy in meeting the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals and is now official policy. Recent legislation requires all state agencies, departments, boards and commissions to consider this policy when revising or establishing regulations, expenditures or grant criteria relating to the protection and management of natural and working lands. The Biodiversity & Climate Working group will ensure coordination, alignment and integration between state agencies and the Wildfire and Forest Resilience Action Plan.
